The 2024 Renovation
Oregon State completed a major Reser Stadium renovation in 2024, replacing the west-side grandstand with a modern multi-level structure including premium seating, press facilities, and improved concourse amenities. The renovation increased capacity to 35,548 — a meaningful upgrade for the Beavers as they navigated the post-Pac-12 collapse landscape.
The Civil War Venue
Reser has hosted the Oregon vs. Oregon State football rivalry — long known as The Civil War — on alternating years for decades. The rivalry is one of college football's oldest. Despite its national interest, Civil War games are not bettable in Oregon due to the statewide college betting ban.
Betting Context (Out-of-State)
For bettors in other states wagering on Beavers games via sportsbooks elsewhere, Reser's renovation hasn't dramatically changed home-field advantage modeling — Oregon State has historically carried about a 3-point home edge, in line with the college football average. The bigger Beavers-related betting variable in recent years has been schedule strength: the Pac-12's effective collapse left Oregon State with an unusual scheduling structure, complicating power-ranking models.
Other Tenants
Reser is football-primary. Oregon State basketball (Gill Coliseum) and baseball (Goss Stadium — home of three College World Series champion teams) have separate venues on the Corvallis campus.
