DraftKings Oregon — iOS App Guide

The DraftKings iOS app is the standard way Oregon residents access legal sports betting. Apple's App Store fully supports DraftKings (unlike Android, which has historical Google Play restrictions on real-money gambling apps). This guide covers install, setup, and common iOS-specific issues.

  • Min Age21+

Step-by-Step Install

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone
  2. Search for "DraftKings Sportsbook" — there are multiple DraftKings apps (Fantasy, Casino, Sportsbook). Be sure you select Sportsbook.
  3. Tap Get and authenticate (Face ID / Touch ID / Apple ID password)
  4. Open the app once installed
  5. The app will prompt you to allow Location Services — set to "While Using the App." Geolocation is required to wager.

Account Registration

If you're new to DraftKings, the app walks you through registration on first launch. See our full how-to-bet guide for the SSN, ID verification, and geolocation steps. You must be 21+ and physically in Oregon to register and bet.

Common iOS Issues

  • "DraftKings Sportsbook is not available in your location" — usually a geolocation issue. Toggle Location Services off and back on, restart the app, or restart the phone. If you're near a state border (e.g., Vancouver, WA), Wi-Fi can sometimes report the wrong location — try cellular data only.
  • App crashes on launch — usually fixed by updating iOS to the latest version and reinstalling the app
  • Touch ID / Face ID login fails — disable and re-enable biometric login in app Settings
  • Push notifications missing — Check Settings → Notifications → DraftKings → Allow Notifications

Differences from Other-State DraftKings

The Oregon DraftKings app is the same binary as in other states, but the markets shown are Oregon-specific:

  • No college sports markets — the entire NCAA category is hidden
  • Smaller bonus offers — promotional pricing reflects Oregon's 51% revenue share
  • Geolocation enforced — even if you travel to Nevada or Washington, the app blocks bets placed outside Oregon
